A premier non-profit animal shelter in Northeast Ohio, Angels for Animals has been making a difference in our community for over a decade.

Since 1990, over 15,000 animals have been adopted through AFA.

Animals receive veterinary care on site in our state-of-the-art medical facility. Approximately 6,000 spay/neuter surgeries are done yearly.

With the help of a large volunteer base, our small staff maintains hundreds of cats and dogs in the shelter or in our foster care program.

Janitorial, Grounds Keeping & Maintenance
Non-animal care position, no kennel work involved.
Primarily a cleaning position with some repair work.

Job Description:

Angels is seeking a hard working individual to clean and sanitize the public areas of our buildings and act as an assistant to the septic plant operator.  Minor repair and maintenance work will be a continuing part of your job responsibilities. Logging of daily duties and responsibility for reporting shortages in supplies will be required.

Hours:
40 hours per week, weekends and some special events included.

Requirements:
-  Must be dependable
-  Must have your own reliable vehicle.
-  Must be self-motivated and capable of taking direction.
-  Must be detailed oriented, good natured and able to adapt as needed.
-  Must be able to lift and move 50lbs on a regular basis.
-  Must be capable of occasional rooftop work, no fear of heights.
-  Requires regular scheduling availability weekdays and some minor
   weekend time. Exact hours and times to be determined with candidate.
-  Must pass background check.

Primary responsibilities will include:

Septic Plant (training provided) including but not limited to:

-  Daily Measurements
-  Minor cleaning duties
-  Regular maintenance
-  Systems monitoring

Regular building cleaning (main building and hall) including but not limited to:

-  Regular daily trash and bathroom cleaning
-  Parking lot pickup and cleaning
-  Regular inside and out cleaning

Secondary responsibilities will include:

Building maintenance including but not limited to:

-  HVAC Filter changing
-  Weed control
-  Drywall patching
-  Minor electrical repairs
-  Minor plumbing repairs
-  Painting projects
